Purso to Incorporate Its Lighting Business – Targeting Strong Growth

Purso Oy, specialized in aluminum solutions, will incorporate its lighting business as a new limited company.

– Our goal is to support the export growth of the lighting business. This can best be achieved as an independent company, says Jussi Aro, CEO of Purso Oy.

The incorporation is planned to take place during the first half of 2026, at which time the new company name will also be announced.

The strategy and future direction of the new company will be defined by its appointed Board of Directors. Operational management will be led by a CEO to be appointed next year, with the recruitment process currently underway. The CEO’s primary responsibility will be to build international sales channels and thereby significantly increase export sales together with a strong team of lighting professionals.

Everyday Work for Employees and Customers Continues as Usual

Purso currently has three business areas. Lighting is the youngest of them.

– We launched the SNEP® lighting system in 2012, and since then luminaires have been manufactured in Siuro, Nokia. Going forward, we want to further develop the lighting business, explains Aro.

Employee representatives as well as staff and workers of the lighting unit have been informed about the incorporation. All current employees of Purso Oy’s lighting unit will transfer to the new company, ensuring that job roles and terms of employment remain unchanged.

– Day-to-day work in Siuro will continue as before. Product development and manufacturing of our luminaires will remain in Finland, says Vesa Eerola, Business Director of the lighting business.

– The fact that lighting gains an independent position within Purso Group will not affect our customers. Contacts and service levels remain unchanged. Finnish production and sustainability will continue to be at the core of Purso Group, Eerola adds.
