Merenoja school
POHJANKYLÄNTIE 6, KALAJOKI
Merenoja School is the largest Swan-labeled building in Finland and the first comprehensive school to have received the Swan label. Purso building system products, made of Greenline aluminum, were used in its construction.
A Swan-labeled building must meet strict environmental requirements. In the construction of Merenoja School, attention was paid to the entire lifecycle of the building, with a focus on energy efficiency and high-quality indoor air.
Merenoja School has an energy rating of A. Its energy efficiency is supported by Purso P50L facade designed for northern conditions, which provides the school building with plenty of natural light. High-quality, certified building materials are one of the Swan label criteria, and in addition to the facade product, Purso has supplied doors for the building.
In a Swan-labeled building, the recycling rate is also an essential aspect. Therefore, the aluminum profiles for the door and facade products used recycled Greenline aluminum, which is produced at our own remelt plant in Ikaalinen.
