The AluDo cable trunking system spearheading safety
The Vocational Agricultural Education Institute Vuoksi in Kauhajoki provides agricultural and associated natural resources education and regional employment services.
At Vuoksi, electricity is used not only for basic purposes, but also for various equipment, learning tools and agricultural, media and kitchen appliances. It is therefore of the utmost importance that the learning environment is safe and that no power or telecommunications cables get in the way of teaching. The best available solution was the AluDo cable trunking system, especially because it safe, durable and easy to use.

Quick deliveries ensured smooth and timely installations
When the contract was signed, Purso was able to deliver the components needed for installation to the contractor in less than a week. The contractor was able to start the installation at very short notice. AluDo Product Manager Juha Kaatranen was particularly proud of the speedy delivery:
– Because we had the products in stock, we were able to promise delivery in less than a week – and also honor that promise. Additional product deliveries were also taken directly to the contractor without delay.
The delivery was also not the only streamlined part of the project, as installation was also very easy. Electrical engineer Jukka Ojanperä at Kora Installations, the company that was responsible for the installation, has the following to say about the process:
– The installation project was easy and everything went just as planned.

Efficient scheduling and safety guarantee satisfaction
As an educational institution, it was important for Vuoksi to get the installation done on time so that teaching could begin as planned. Vuoksi was therefore particularly pleased with the speed and short turnaround time of the installation project.
– The project went well and on schedule. We were able to move in to our new buildings exactly as planned and start teaching as scheduled, says Vuoksi Property Manager Samu Leppinen.
The school environment is a challenging one for cable trunking systems as well. The system needs to be shockproof and stay in place even when taking some hits. And safety is exactly one of the key characteristics of the AluDo system and other Purso solutions. The AluDo system was praised for this property for more than anything.
– I feel that AluDo cable trunking systems are very shockproof in terms of safety. For example, we run floor scrubbers along the walls, and I would say that the systems are the safest option, says Leppinen.
Seeing the final result is always a significant moment for both the customer and Purso. A successful outcome was a pleasure for Purso AluDo Product Manager Juha Kaatranen as well:
– It was great to go onsite and see your own products in actual use.

The new AluDo system is a pioneer: domestic, responsible and safe
The AluDo cable trunking system is a relatively new Purso product, having been released in October 2024. Purso was especially excited to get Vuoksi as a customer, because this was their first actual AluDo order.
– This was the first actual customer delivery of the AluDo cable trunking system, so this is a significant project for us, says Kaatranen.
The key characteristics of the AluDo trunking are a small carbon footprint and a fully domestic production process. The system is also designed to meet all modern building requirements. The end result is an inconspicuous, high-quality solution that fits sustainable building perfectly.
– The cable trunking is manufactured by Purso using recycled aluminum obtained from our own smelter, which makes it possible to achieve an exceptionally small carbon footprint, says Kaatranen.
