When the old shop was turned into an office, the idea was to improve working conditions. Leomuovi chose the size 156 AluDo trunking for installation at Leomuovi during their renovation project – including along the ceiling edges.
Better working conditions and flexible wiring solutions
The renovated rooms of the plastic component contract manufacturer Leomuovi are working spaces for e.g. sales personnel and the quality manager. CEO Risto Kalliainen says that the rooms were completely overhauled:
– The shop became an office, and there used to be an oil tank where there is now a conference room.
Medium-sized AluDo cable trunking was installed for the offices and negotiation rooms, which brings power outlets and telecommunications connections right next to workstations. Made from recycled Greenline aluminum, the AluDo 156 trunking is extruded and painted in Siuro, from where it was shipped straight out of storage and to the site.
The narrow trunking can also hold small items.

– Plastic trunking often becomes stained when handled, and the cleaning can be a hassle.

Practical electrical installations and innovative solutions
Electrical engineer Jari Peltonen (Asennustyö Pärssinen Ky), who was responsible for the electrical contracting at Leomuovi, says that this was an ordinary office job in terms of electrical installations. There was however a creative solution for the ceiling of one room:
– We had to run the wires across the ceiling, but a lowered ceiling or another similar conventional solution was not possible, so we decided to install AluDo trunking along the ceiling’s edge. Similar solutions are sometimes adopted to go around doorways.
