Lighting at the Tokmanni Store in Joensuu

Purso SNEP Lighting Systems provided a new energy-efficient lighting system for the Tokmanni store in Joensuu, Finland. The investment will pay for itself in two and a half years. The operating costs are low, and the maintenance-free luminaires also provide significant maintenance cost savings. The lighting in the store is even, and its level can be varied. A more fresh overall look for the lighting was achieved with a pure tone of 4,000 kelvins.

As a result, the overall look of the store improved, the store became more pleasant, and the sales and job satisfaction increased. The SNEP Linear SR luminaires installed in the renovated store are unique project products whose lighting and installation technical details were modified to meet the needs of the Joensuu store.
The light output of the luminaires was carefully adjusted to suit different product groups and lighting areas, as, in the case of some products, the amount of light is reduced so that the spotlights can accentuate specific products in the desired manner. The DALI control system provides flexibility for specific lighting needs.

The ability to control the store lightning remotely via building automation is the special strength of the lighting. With the aid of this feature, selected areas and pre-created lighting modes can be flexibly altered to always meet the current needs. The fact that the store remained open during the entire installation process posed its own challenges, as no more than half of the store premises were able to be worked on at the same time.

The store, which required 930 fluorescent tube luminaires in the past, now only needs 470 LED luminaires.
